Located just outside Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi is a legendary district for its role during uprisings against French colonialism, but more notably for combating the American invasion of Vietnam. It is well known for its labyrinth of tunnels that cover over 220km Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role during the American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its network of tunnels, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
Itinerary
The bus will depart from 112 Tran Hung Dao street, district 1, HCMC at 8am. The trip to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours. Prior to the tour of the Cu Chi our knowledgeable staff will introduce the site and it’s history to you. This will be followed by a documentary film about the tunnels and how inhabitants of the tunnels survived in the harsh conditions. You will then see the tunnels systems, including the weapon factory, hospitals, kitchens and crawl under the tunnels first hand. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to try delicious manioc, a major food staple for guerillas in Cu Chi throughout the war. Visitors also have the option of firing an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby shooting range. The tour is approximately three to three and a half hours, therefore the bus should arrive back at the TNK office around 14:30PM.
